Overview

The Technical Hardware Lead will manage and drive complex hardware engineering projects within a next-generation civilian aerospace program. Working in a hybrid capacity, the contractor will lead a hardware team, ensuring the integration of advanced technologies from concept through validation while shaping engineering best practices. This role requires deep technical knowledge and an ability to influence the technical strategy of projects while promoting a collaborative team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for all hardware subsystem projects.
  • Define requirements, specifications, and performance targets.
  • Lead critical design reviews (CDRs), technical readiness reviews (TRRs), and ensure design maturity throughout the lifecycle.
  • Plan milestones, allocate resources, and manage technical risks.
  • Oversee schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection.
  • Guide hardware bring-up, debugging, and system-level integration.
  • Review design documentation, analysis, and verification reports.
  • Lead validation planning and compliance readiness for various engineering tests.

Requirements

  • Strong background with PDR/CDR/TRR processes in analog, digital, RF, power, or mixed-signal design.
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools (Altium or similar).
  • Solid understanding of system integration, signal integrity, DFM/DFT, and validation processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
