Overview
In this role as a Technical Lead, you will be a key player in building a greenfield Azure platform for a regulated banking venture. You will drive the technical delivery across a team of ten engineers, balancing hands-on work with leadership to establish high standards for Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps, and platform engineering practices. Collaboration with architecture and engineering teams will be essential as you ensure that solutions are secure, efficient, and of premium quality.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical delivery and oversee engineering standards across the team.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices using Terraform.
- Manage Kubernetes workloads for efficient container orchestration.
- Utilize DevOps methodologies for streamlined CI/CD processes.
- Mentor engineers and foster best practices within the team.
- Collaborate on architectural decisions ensuring compliance with banking regulations.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Principal Engineer in large-scale Azure platform builds.
- Expertise in Azure Cloud, including enterprise-scale architectures and governance.
- High proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production settings.
- Experience leading delivery in DevOps teams using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to mentor engineers and establish technical standards.
- Strong understanding of Kanban and continuous delivery workflows.
