Overview
The Technical Operations & IT Project Lead will play a critical role within a leading biotech organization, focusing on enhancing operational processes from R&D to manufacturing across UK and European operations. This position involves collaborating with engineering, IT teams, and senior business stakeholders to implement technology solutions that drive innovation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead process and technology development from lab to manufacturing scale.
- Oversee IT systems design, deployment, validation, and compliance activities.
- Manage project plans, resources, budgets, and stakeholder engagement.
- Drive process improvement, technology transfer, and equipment validation.
- Act as a bridge between business, IT, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Support vendor management, change control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ leadership experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven background in process development, IT implementation, or R&D project delivery.
- Strong understanding of system validation, change control, and technology transfer.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP or similar project management certification advantageous.
