Overview
The Technical Project Manager will lead the delivery of complex infrastructure and cloud platform projects, ensuring successful implementation from planning to deployment. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams and providing regular updates to stakeholders while overseeing project governance and resource planning. The contractor will work primarily in a remote capacity, with occasional travel to project sites as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure and cloud platform projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, vendors, and customer stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project plans, managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee governance, resource planning, budget tracking, and project reporting.
- Support operational readiness through testing, transition activities, and documentation.
- Manage final project sign-off and knowledge transfer activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience delivering complex IT infrastructure or technical transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of VMware technologies, virtualisation, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience in managing multiple workstreams and third-party suppliers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, APM) preferred.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
