Overview
The Technology M&A Delivery Lead will play a crucial role in managing the technology and data aspects of acquisitions for organizations looking to grow through mergers. Working closely with various teams, the contractor will be responsible for planning and executing technology integrations, ensuring readiness for day one and steady operations post-acquisition. This position requires hands-on involvement in managing data migrations, supplier relationships, and providing updates to senior stakeholders, making it a highly practical delivery role.
Responsibilities
- Manage the technology and data operations during live acquisitions from planning through completion.
- Prepare acquired businesses for day one operations and ensure smooth integration.
- Facilitate systems and data consolidation, deciding on retention, replacement, or retirement of systems.
- Plan and execute data migration and testing before go-live.
- Keep project plans, risks, actions, and dependencies updated and manageable.
- Oversee supplier and internal team collaboration to maintain project timelines.
- Provide regular progress updates to integration leads and senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering technology and data components of mergers and acquisitions.
- Strong background in systems integration, application rationalisation, and data migration.
- Experience managing project plans, risks, and supplier relationships while reporting to senior management.
- Ability to critically assess plans and identify potential issues early on without needing a solution architect's role.
- Willingness to work on client sites in and around London, complemented by some remote work.
- Must be able to work through a limited company, outside of IR35, with availability for at least six months.
