The Technology Transformation Director will spearhead a significant Target Operating Model (TOM) transformation initiative within a complex enterprise environment. The role involves defining the future-state operating model and leading comprehensive transformation activities that facilitate sustainable change across a large-scale technology function. This position works with executive and board-level stakeholders to drive alignment and successful execution of transformation programs, requiring extensive strategic expertise and leadership experience in technology transformations.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the development of the future-state Technology Target Operating Model.
  • Evaluate strategic operating model options and conduct structured impact assessments.
  • Mobilise and shape the transformation programme structure with internal and external alignment.
  • Establish governance, assurance, and decision-making frameworks for programme execution.
  • Lead multiple interdependent workstreams delivering transformation across the technology organization.
  • Manage programme risk and dependency mapping, ensuring effective mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee third-party suppliers and consulting partners to ensure delivery excellence.
  • Develop and maintain investment-grade business cases and financial plans.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale technology transformations within complex organizations.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing Target Operating Models at enterprise scale.
  • Strong background in management consulting or senior transformation leadership roles.
  • Demonstrable experience in mobilising major transformation programmes from inception to execution.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing capability at the executive level.
  • Deep expertise in programme governance, delivery assurance, and risk management.
  • Strong experience managing complex ecosystems of third-party suppliers and integrators.
  • Advanced financial acumen in business case development and portfolio-level budgeting.
