Overview
The Technology Transformation Director will spearhead a significant Target Operating Model (TOM) transformation initiative within a complex enterprise environment. The role involves defining the future-state operating model and leading comprehensive transformation activities that facilitate sustainable change across a large-scale technology function. This position works with executive and board-level stakeholders to drive alignment and successful execution of transformation programs, requiring extensive strategic expertise and leadership experience in technology transformations.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the development of the future-state Technology Target Operating Model.
- Evaluate strategic operating model options and conduct structured impact assessments.
- Mobilise and shape the transformation programme structure with internal and external alignment.
- Establish governance, assurance, and decision-making frameworks for programme execution.
- Lead multiple interdependent workstreams delivering transformation across the technology organization.
- Manage programme risk and dependency mapping, ensuring effective mitigation strategies.
- Oversee third-party suppliers and consulting partners to ensure delivery excellence.
- Develop and maintain investment-grade business cases and financial plans.
Requirements
- Proven track record of leading large-scale technology transformations within complex organizations.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing Target Operating Models at enterprise scale.
- Strong background in management consulting or senior transformation leadership roles.
- Demonstrable experience in mobilising major transformation programmes from inception to execution.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing capability at the executive level.
- Deep expertise in programme governance, delivery assurance, and risk management.
- Strong experience managing complex ecosystems of third-party suppliers and integrators.
- Advanced financial acumen in business case development and portfolio-level budgeting.
