The Technology Transformation Director will spearhead a significant Target Operating Model (TOM) transformation initiative within a complex enterprise setting, driving strategic change across the technology function. This role requires collaboration with executive and board-level stakeholders, leveraging both strategic insight and hands-on leadership to ensure effective delivery and alignment across multiple workstreams. The Director will be pivotal in shaping the future-state operating model and managing the associated transformation agenda to foster sustainable organizational change.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the development of the future-state Technology Target Operating Model.
  • Evaluate strategic operating model options and conduct impact assessments to define the preferred target state.
  • Mobilise and structure the transformation programme, aligning internal resources and external partners.
  • Establish governance and decision-making frameworks to support programme execution.
  • Lead interdependent workstreams delivering transformation within the technology organization.
  • Manage programme risk and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee third-party suppliers and consulting partners, ensuring delivery and value realization.
  • Create investment-grade business cases and integrated programme plans from mobilisation to implementation.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale technology transformations in complex organizations.
  • Extensive experience in designing Target Operating Models at enterprise scale.
  • Strong background in management consulting or senior transformation leadership roles.
  • Experience mobilising major transformation programmes from inception to execution.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and credibility at C-suite level.
  • Deep expertise in programme governance, delivery assurance, and risk management.
  • Experience managing complex ecosystems of third-party suppliers and consulting partners.
  • Advanced financial acumen in business case development and budgeting.
