Overview
We are seeking experienced Telecommunications Engineers to support a critical infrastructure project in Scotland. The successful candidates will work on-site in Glasgow, collaborating with telecom providers on installation, commissioning, and maintenance of telecommunications systems, while being part of a professional and innovative environment. This role offers an immediate start and is aimed at field engineers and project engineers with expertise in utility telecoms.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission telecommunications systems and equipment.
- Perform site surveys and testing for network reliability.
- Provide first-line support and troubleshooting for network issues.
- Develop and manage technical documentation using Visio.
- Collaborate on network planning and optimization tasks.
- Implement RAMS and POWRA processes for project safety and compliance.
- Ensure high-quality maintenance and support for telecom infrastructure.
Requirements
- Proven experience in utility telecommunications, particularly in installation and commissioning.
- Familiarity with DC Chargers, Microwave, and Comms Networks.
- Knowledge of Nokia SAR-H and NFM-P systems.
- CCNA-level networking certification is desirable.
- Experience with MPLS, LAN/WAN technologies.
- Previous work in substation environments and familiarity with high voltage systems (11kV-400kV) is a plus.
- Certifications such as IOSH, EUSR, or NRSWA are preferred.
