Overview
The Telecommunications Engineer will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of telecommunications and network infrastructure across customer sites. This hybrid role involves collaborating closely with customers, project managers, and engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered safely and on schedule, adhering to all company procedures and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain telecommunications and network infrastructure.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance and repairs on communications systems.
- Perform site surveys, testing, diagnostics, and commissioning activities.
- Complete all associated technical documentation accurately.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Telecommunications Engineer, Network Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, including fibre optics and voice/data systems.
- Experience with installation, commissioning, and fault diagnosis in critical environments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel as required.
