Overview
We are looking for a Telecommunications Project Engineer with experience in the Telcom domain to join a hybrid team that works 2-3 days in Glasgow. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery and maintenance of various telecom projects across Scotland, collaborating closely with project and network operation teams.
Responsibilities
- Support project and senior project managers in scoping, preparing, planning, implementing, and delivering technical projects.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for project handovers.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Conduct site surveys to facilitate installations.
- Install and commission telecoms equipment to high standards.
- Develop Health and Safety documentation to ensure compliance with safety measures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and system environments.
- Strong background in IP networking, including CCNA-level knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with Nokia platforms, including Nokia SAR-H and Nokia NFM-P.
- Excellent understanding of routing, switching, and data networking principles.
- Experience working with XTran technology.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Visio for network and technical diagramming.
- Valid driving license for travel across Scotland is required.
