Overview

The Contract Test Manager will oversee and enhance the testing strategy for a prominent business process outsourcing and support services provider. This role involves leading a team of System Testers, driving improvements in test automation and quality assurance, and ensuring successful project delivery. The position is hybrid, requiring one day per week in the Cardiff office, and is set for an 8-month contract starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team of System Testers.
  • Create and deliver test strategies to ensure quality, stability, and successful project delivery.
  • Oversee day-to-day testing activities, including system, regression, and integration testing.
  • Support business-led UAT activities, ensuring readiness for live deployment.
  • Provide expert advice on testing best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all testing processes.
  • Manage and report on key testing metrics, performance, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with software engineering and product teams.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of testing principles, lifecycle phases, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience managing testing in complex environments.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
