Overview
We are seeking an experienced UAT/Test Manager for a 6-month contract to oversee a critical client program just ahead of its go-live phase. The ideal candidate will engage directly with stakeholders to ensure effective governance, assurance, and delivery while managing user acceptance testing. This hands-on role requires the ability to quickly adapt to a live environment and lead UAT activities effectively.
Responsibilities
- Own UAT delivery end-to-end, including planning, execution, and sign-off.
- Provide strong governance and test assurance throughout the testing process.
- Manage defects, prioritization, and resolution tracking effectively.
- Deliver clear, data-driven reports on progress, bug metrics, and risks to senior stakeholders.
- Lead UAT ceremonies, including kick-offs, triage, and status updates.
- Support delivery efforts through go-live and post-launch hypercare phases.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Test Manager or UAT Manager on complex programmes.
- Background in traditional, governance-heavy testing environments.
- Experience within regulated or public sector settings.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with non-technical clients.
- Ability to hit the ground running in a live delivery setting.
