Overview
We are seeking a skilled Transition Program Manager to lead a critical service transition programme for a major telecommunications organization. This role involves overseeing a complex transformation with multiple workstreams, ensuring the delivery of key commercial and operational objectives while maintaining service continuity. The Program Manager will drive engagement with stakeholders and manage the governance and execution of interconnected projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex service transition programme with multiple strategic workstreams.
- Establish and maintain programme governance, reporting, RAID management, and executive communications.
- Manage programme mobilisation, planning, and execution across internal teams and third-party suppliers.
- Coordinate transition activities between incumbent and incoming service providers.
- Ensure effective management of programme milestones, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
- Drive collaboration across technical, operational, commercial, and procurement stakeholders.
- Oversee transition planning, knowledge transfer, cutover, and hypercare activities.
- Ensure seamless services transition with minimal operational disruption while achieving specified business outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering complex service transition or transformation programmes.
- Strong background managing multi-workstream programmes involving multiple project managers.
- Experience in telecommunications, managed services, or large infrastructure environments.
- Demonstrable experience managing third-party suppliers and commercial transitions.
- Strong governance, risk, financial, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities at the executive level.
- Experience in delivering operational transitions involving cutover and hypercare activities.
- Knowledge of network operations or telecoms infrastructure is desirable, along with ITIL and service management experience.
