Overview
The Trust Policy Programme Manager will oversee compliance initiatives for a leading consumer technology organization, engaging with various teams such as Legal, Product, and Engineering. The contractor will be instrumental in translating regulatory requirements into actionable processes and ensuring adherence to global online safety standards. This hybrid role allows for one day a week onsite and involves substantial collaboration and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional regulatory compliance programmes from planning through delivery.
- Translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical operational and product initiatives.
- Partner with Legal, Product, Engineering, Operations, Privacy and Data Science teams.
- Develop implementation plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, and governance frameworks.
- Support regulatory reporting, audits, and submissions.
- Track delivery progress and communicate programme updates to senior stakeholders.
- Drive consistency across compliance processes and operational controls.
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience delivering complex programmes within a technology organization.
- Experience in Trust & Safety, regulatory compliance, legal operations, programme management, or related discipline.
- Knowledge of online safety legislation such as EU Digital Services Act, UK Online Safety Act, and US platform safety regulations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Excellent programme management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to support decision making.
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
