Overview
We are seeking a Voids Project Manager for an 8–10 week contract opportunity within the Capital Programmes team. The successful candidate will oversee end-of-tenancy refurbishment works and responsive repairs across a residential portfolio, collaborating closely with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery while maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-of-tenancy refurbishment and void works across a residential property portfolio.
- Coordinate property inspections to identify maintenance and refurbishment requirements.
- Scope, procure and manage contractors to deliver works safely, on programme and within budget.
- Work closely with internal Property, Asset Management and Lettings teams, as well as external managing agents.
- Review contractor quotations and approve appropriate scopes of work and associated costs.
- Monitor contractor performance, quality, programme and cost throughout project delivery.
- Support the delivery of energy efficiency improvement works.
- Coordinate preparation works for residential asset sales where required.
Requirements
- Previous experience managing voids, repairs or refurbishment projects within residential property.
- Strong technical knowledge of residential building maintenance and refurbishment.
- Experience managing contractors and delivering projects to programme and budget.
- Good understanding of landlord responsibilities, housing legislation and health & safety compliance.
- Experience working within contractor frameworks and managing supplier performance.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Desirable qualification in Construction, Building Surveying or a related discipline.
