Overview
The Windows Engineer - Hyper-V will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and optimising Microsoft Hyper-V virtualisation solutions, with a focus on supporting a VMware to Hyper-V migration project. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, this expert will leverage their extensive experience to ensure efficient infrastructure operations. This position is offered as a 3 - 6 month contract with hybrid working arrangements, requiring two days of on-site presence per week.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Microsoft Hyper-V virtualisation solutions.
- Support the migration from VMware to Hyper-V systems.
- Administer and optimise Hyper-V environments at scale.
- Utilise PowerShell scripting for automation and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure needs.
- Ensure robust documentation of processes and configurations.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration.
- Experience with VMware environments and migration processes.
- Familiarity with storage technologies relevant to virtualisation.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation.
- Experience managing infrastructure projects in a FinTech environment is preferred.
