Overview
The interim Workday Data Lead will oversee the data workstream in a broader Workday implementation project, focusing on data strategy and governance. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with stakeholder management and collaboration across multiple departments, including HR, Payroll, and Finance, to ensure the successful integration and quality of data throughout the program.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end data workstream for a Workday implementation.
- Define and manage the data strategy, plan, and governance framework.
- Oversee ETL processes including data extraction, transformation, and loading into Workday.
- Ensure data quality, validation, and reconciliation across all stages of the programme.
- Manage data mapping and transformation from legacy systems.
- Own Workday to payroll data requirements, ensuring accurate downstream integration.
- Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and technical teams to gather and validate requirements.
- Support testing cycles including data validation for parallel runs and go-live readiness.
Requirements
- Strong experience leading data workstreams within Workday implementations.
- Deep understanding of Workday data structures and configuration impacts.
- Hands-on ETL experience and data migration expertise.
- Experience managing Workday to payroll data requirements and integrations.
