Overview
The Workday HCM Implementation Specialist will play a key role in the implementation of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) modules over a 9-month contract, starting in November 2025. Working in a hybrid capacity, this consultant will collaborate closely with the internal People team and various stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery and adoption of Workday HCM functionality, while providing subject matter expertise throughout the implementation process.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with People and IT teams to define requirements and implementation plans.
- Configure and deploy Workday HCM modules according to project phases.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance during the implementation lifecycle.
- Support testing, training, knowledge transfer, and change management activities.
- Lead stakeholder workshops to gather business and technical requirements.
- Deliver a comprehensive implementation plan, including timelines and milestones.
- Execute cutover activities and support go-live efforts.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and document lessons learned.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Workday HCM implementation experience.
- Workday HCM Core certification desirable.
- Experience in configuring and deploying Workday modules (e.g., Core HCM, Talent, Absence, Compensation).
- Proficient in Workday business process configuration, security setup, reporting, and data migration.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, compliance, and organizational structures.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage timelines, risks, and dependencies independently.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Finance).
