Overview

We are seeking a skilled Workday Product Owner to manage and optimize a recently implemented Workday platform over a 12-month contract outside of IR35. The contractor will collaborate with a Service Manager and the finance department, focusing on stabilizing the Finance platform, establishing a clear product roadmap, and preparing processes for future HR integration. This role is crucial for designing scalable solutions that enhance financial and HR operations across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the Workday product, ensuring it meets business needs.
  • Establish a prioritised, value-based product backlog and governance framework.
  • Partner with the Service Manager to enhance the AMS operating model and supplier performance.
  • Lead the optimization of Finance processes through targeted platform enhancements.
  • Coordinate the deployment of standard Workday releases in compliance with governance.
  • Develop a blueprint for future HR and Group rollout, outlining processes and dependencies.
  • Maximise value from existing capabilities to support a seamless user experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role within Workday environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and systems.
  • Experience with governance frameworks and release management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including finance.
  • Proficiency in defining product roadmaps and backlog management.
  • Strong analytical skills to drive improvements in data quality and automation.
  • Familiarity with third-party vendor management and performance optimisation.
