Overview
We are seeking a skilled Workday Product Owner to manage and optimize a recently implemented Workday platform over a 12-month contract outside of IR35. The contractor will collaborate with a Service Manager and the finance department, focusing on stabilizing the Finance platform, establishing a clear product roadmap, and preparing processes for future HR integration. This role is crucial for designing scalable solutions that enhance financial and HR operations across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the Workday product, ensuring it meets business needs.
- Establish a prioritised, value-based product backlog and governance framework.
- Partner with the Service Manager to enhance the AMS operating model and supplier performance.
- Lead the optimization of Finance processes through targeted platform enhancements.
- Coordinate the deployment of standard Workday releases in compliance with governance.
- Develop a blueprint for future HR and Group rollout, outlining processes and dependencies.
- Maximise value from existing capabilities to support a seamless user experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role within Workday environments.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and systems.
- Experience with governance frameworks and release management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including finance.
- Proficiency in defining product roadmaps and backlog management.
- Strong analytical skills to drive improvements in data quality and automation.
- Familiarity with third-party vendor management and performance optimisation.
