Overview
We are seeking an AI Governance Lead to join a prominent Central Government consultancy in a hybrid role, focused on guiding public sector clients through the complexities of AI governance and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide expert advice on the implementation of AI risk frameworks and tech policy, ensuring adherence to emerging regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end AI risk models and decision-making guidelines using established standards such as NIST RMF and ISO 42001.
- Advise clients on compliance with domestic and international AI regulations, including high-risk AI classification and impact assessments.
- Integrate AI oversight efforts with broader initiatives in data privacy, cybersecurity, and enterprise risk management.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and mentor junior team members in AI governance practices and solutions.
- Deliver practical implementation strategies and advice to non-technical leaders in various public sector organizations.
Requirements
- Hold active UK SC clearance for security purposes.
- Demonstrate practical experience in implementing AI risk frameworks and conducting model validation and algorithmic impact reviews.
- Possess strong knowledge of global AI regulations, including the EU AI Act, as well as related safety guidelines and security standards like OWASP.
- Have experience with AI monitoring tools, model registries, or bias detection platforms.
- Background in management consultancy, risk advisory, or public sector digital transformation is essential.
- Professional certifications in AI governance, data privacy, or auditing are highly desirable.
