Overview
We are seeking an experienced Golang Developer for an exciting contract role focused on backend engineering and microservices development. The developer will work remotely, collaborating with various teams to create scalable services and tackle complex technical challenges while employing modern development practices. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of cloud-native systems and utilize AI-assisted development tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services using Go (Golang).
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs for various applications.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of microservices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve coding efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
- Support cloud-native and distributed system implementations.
- Engage in client-facing project discussions when required.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang).
- Experience in backend engineering and developing microservices.
- Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration.
- Familiarity with building cloud-native or distributed systems.
- Comfortable with contributing across the stack when necessary.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT is beneficial.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of React, Kubernetes, Docker, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience in consultancy or client-facing projects is a plus.
