Overview
The Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in the design, deployment, and optimisation of Microsoft Hyper-V environments within a leading FinTech organisation. This position involves supporting a key migration project from VMware to Hyper-V and requires collaboration with other technical teams to ensure successful implementation and operation of virtualisation solutions. The contractor will leverage their expertise to enhance the infrastructure's performance and reliability while working in a hybrid setup.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Microsoft Hyper-V virtualisation solutions.
- Support the migration process from VMware to Hyper-V.
- Administer and optimise Hyper-V environments to ensure operational efficiency.
- Utilise PowerShell scripting for automation of tasks and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project implementation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in designing and administering Hyper-V environments at scale.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration.
- Solid understanding of storage technologies related to virtualisation.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.
