Overview
The ETRM Business Analyst for the Power sector will work on projects within a commodities and energy trading firm, focusing on both physical and derivative trading. This role requires collaboration with program managers and various stakeholders to align business needs with project goals while leveraging extensive knowledge of the European power market and ETRM processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct business requirements analysis and develop functional specifications for system changes.
- Participate in testing, including unit, QA, and UAT, to ensure system functionality.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align processes and solutions with trading strategies.
- Document business requirements and project objectives to guide development teams.
- Analyze and optimize existing systems related to the European power trading lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through post-implementation reviews.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the energy or commodities trading sector.
- Deep understanding of the European power market and traded derivative products.
- Proficiency in ETRMs and familiarity with middle-back-office systems.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for tracking and managing project requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to document and map business processes.
