Overview
We are seeking an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a remote role requiring regular travel to the US. The chosen candidate will collaborate closely with the business founder and senior management team to drive the company’s financial strategy and support its growth objectives. This position involves providing financial insight, negotiating complex investment and funding deals, and acting as the primary finance contact for corporate advisors and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial negotiations for investment, funding, and sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with the senior management team to develop financial strategies and insights.
- Act as the main liaison with corporate finance advisors and legal representatives.
- Provide financial and commercial data to support negotiations and stakeholder inquiries.
- Guide and advise the founder on complex financial matters and commercial decisions.
- Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with external requests.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role within SME tech businesses.
- Strong background in investment, funding, and corporate finance, specifically with technology companies.
- Demonstrated track record of managing complex, multi-party financial negotiations.
- Excellent understanding of corporate finance practices and business sale processes.
- Ability to work closely and effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and the capacity to provide strategic financial recommendations.
