Overview
We are seeking an Interim Financial Controller to join a private equity-backed infrastructure business during a pivotal period of growth and transformation. In this hybrid role, you will collaborate closely with the CFO and leadership team, overseeing financial control, reporting, and integration activities across multiple entities, thereby aiding in the execution of the company's buy-and-build strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
- Own group consolidation and ensure robust financial controls across the business.
- Support acquisition accounting, due diligence and post-deal integration activities.
- Drive improvements across financial processes, systems and reporting.
- Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to enhance financial visibility and decision-making.
- Manage audit processes and support lender, investor and board reporting requirements.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven Financial Controller experience within a complex, multi-site environment.
- Prior exposure to private equity-backed businesses.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, carve-outs or business transformation initiatives.
- Strong technical accounting, controls and consolidation expertise.
- Hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
