Overview
This interim role as a Senior Finance Manager focuses on leading the audit process for a rapidly growing technology platform business. The contractor will work closely with the existing finance team and auditors to ensure audit readiness and effective project management throughout the audit lifecycle, driving significant impact during this transitional phase.
Responsibilities
- Build the audit workplan from scratch.
- Review finalised trial balances and supporting documentation to identify and rectify issues.
- Test group accounting policy alignment across entities, particularly for acquired businesses.
- Break down tasks and direct them into the existing finance team.
- Manage auditors' requests through to completion.
- Oversee consolidation and support statutory accounts preparation by the audit firm.
- Prepare and tidy accounting policy documentation.
Requirements
- ACA qualified with a strong audit background and experience in industry.
- Proven experience leading a group audit from the company's perspective.
- Group reporting and consolidation experience, including handling acquisitions.
- Familiarity with acquisition accounting and integrating acquired entities into group policies.
- Experience in a fast-growth, VC-backed environment.
