Overview
We are seeking a Freelance Midweight Interior Designer with expertise in Vectorworks to support a leading design-focused team on an immediate project. The successful candidate will work closely with the design team to develop and deliver technical drawing packages, translating design intent into accurate and buildable technical information. The role is hybrid, allowing for both remote and on-site work, providing flexibility for the contractor.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawing packages using Vectorworks.
- Develop design information through RIBA Stages 3 and 4.
- Produce and coordinate GA drawings.
- Create detailed joinery drawings and information.
- Incorporate and coordinate HVAC information within drawing packages.
- Translate design intent into clear, practical, and buildable technical solutions.
- Coordinate information across relevant disciplines.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during the design development process.
Requirements
- Strong Vectorworks skills with demonstrable professional experience.
- Proven experience working across RIBA Stages 3 and 4.
- Solid experience delivering retail and F&B projects.
- Experience producing technical packs, including GA drawings and joinery detailing.
- A strong understanding of technical detailing and construction information.
- Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach to documentation.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a wider design team.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
