Overview
The Platform Engineer will play a crucial role in a major technology build-out for the Capital Markets sector, focusing on Kubernetes environments and AI integration within investment banking. Collaborating with engineering teams, the contractor will ensure the reliability and scalability of production infrastructure, leveraging AI tools to enhance engineering workflows and resolve issues in a complex production landscape.
Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and maintain Kubernetes environments.
- Manage production platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and availability.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and containerized application issues.
- Support engineering teams as new services and platform capabilities are introduced.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within investment banking.
- Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems in complex production environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, including setting up and managing production clusters.
- A solid background in DevOps or platform engineering.
- Commercial experience using AI coding tools in engineering workflows.
- Proven ability to utilize AI for code, script, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience in critically reviewing AI-generated outputs for correctness and security.
