Overview
The Principal Telecoms Engineer will join a project team focused on advancing telecommunications solutions for the oil and gas sector, specifically on a Saudi Aramco project. This role emphasizes the design and implementation of telecom systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and quality, while collaborating closely with other engineering professionals.
Responsibilities
- Support various telecommunication systems including LAN-WAN and fiber optic cable systems.
- Create detailed technical documentation such as Block Diagrams and Schematic Diagrams.
- Develop Cable and Equipment Schedules along with datasheets.
- Work on greenfield and brownfield telecom projects to meet project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all telecommunications activities.
- Investigate and solve technical issues related to telecom systems.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with technical report writing and drawing creation within oil and gas projects.
- Proven experience on Aramco projects is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of telecom systems including CCTV and access control systems.
- Ability to produce layout drawings and interconnection wiring diagrams.
