Overview
We are looking for a Product Manager to lead a high-priority Digital Service project for a Central Government client. In this role, you will oversee product development, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure that our offerings align with user needs and business objectives. You will work closely with both senior and junior team members, offering guidance and support as we navigate complex delivery challenges.
Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate a clear vision for the product, engaging teams and stakeholders.
- Act as the product champion, articulating goals, purpose, and success metrics.
- Ensure the product meets Government Service Standards and aligns with user and business needs.
- Represent user interests throughout delivery, incorporating feedback for improvement.
- Keep stakeholders and teams informed about product development and promote uptake.
- Support operational and strategic planning, including process design and lifecycle management.
Requirements
- Proficiency in agile working, identifying and applying the best delivery methods.
- Ability to transition between product lifecycle stages and manage operational processes.
- Expertise in problem ownership, anticipating issues, and coordinating effective solutions.
- Strong strategic thinking to engage organisational buy-in and develop strategies.
- Commitment to user focus, understanding needs versus desires, and prioritising user stories.
- Strong understanding and experience with Government Service Standards (GDS).
- Desirable: experience working on services for vulnerable users.
