Overview
We are looking for a Senior Structural Designer Contractor to join our team for a 12-month engagement. The contractor will provide technical expertise in structural design for new infrastructure and modifications in the energy sector, collaborating closely with various disciplines and clients to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. The role offers an opportunity to deliver effective and efficient asset management solutions while working on both offshore and onshore projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for structural design of new and modified infrastructure.
- Support project work scope estimates with technical information.
- Resolve technical queries and ensure design changes are documented.
- Conduct site surveys on offshore and onshore assets.
- Produce structural design drawings and 3D models.
- Participate in design and constructability reviews, ensuring compliance with engineering procedures.
- Interface with clients, disciplines, and third parties on project technical issues.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality policies.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and discipline-specific software (e.g., AutoCAD 2D & 3D, PDMS, LFM Recap, Pro Simulate).
- Ability to investigate data and conduct site surveys, including offshore travel.
- Brownfield project experience is desirable.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries is preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrable design experience in relevant engineering fields will be considered.
