Overview
We are seeking a Contract Systems Engineer with proven experience to join a dynamic rail technology organization for an initial 6-month contract. The role will involve collaborating on significant overhead line monitoring tenders, where you will play a key role in defining technical solutions, developing bid strategies, and crafting winning proposals for rail infrastructure projects across the UK. Hybrid working flexibility is available for this position.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of overhead line monitoring tenders.
- Define and develop technical solutions for proposals.
- Create bid strategies to enhance tender submissions.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation.
- Ensure alignment with rail industry standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Systems Engineering within a complex environment.
- Experience in supporting technical bids, tenders, or proposal activities.
- Strong understanding of electronics, software, or integrated systems.
- Ability to produce detailed technical documentation.
- Rail industry experience, particularly in infrastructure monitoring, signalling, or telecoms.
- Desire to operate outside of IR35 through a Personal Service Company (PSC).
