Overview
We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join a global consumer products business on an initial 6-month fully remote contract. The successful contractor will collaborate with the data function to enhance the existing data warehouse, focusing on improving data integrity and automating inefficient processes. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future architecture of the company's data environment and make significant improvements to their analytics and reporting capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Review the existing data warehouse, pipelines, and transformation processes for areas of improvement.
- Rebuild and enhance elements of the current data warehouse and data foundations.
- Identify and address issues affecting data integrity, accuracy, and reliability.
- Develop and optimize ETL processes using Alteryx and SQL.
- Automate manual workflows and replace inefficient processes with scalable solutions.
- Provide a technical assessment of the current data environment to suggest necessary changes for the long-term architecture.
Requirements
- Strong experience with SQL and Alteryx.
- Proven background in data warehousing and analytics engineering.
- Extensive experience in ETL/data transformation and data modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to improve data integrity and quality.
- Experience building and automating data pipelines and workflows.
- Ability to independently assess and enhance existing data environments.
- Experience with Qlik/Qlik Sense is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with cloud and on-premise data environments, especially in FMCG or retail sectors is preferred.
