Overview
The Construction Subcontract Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the effective development and management of mechanical works related to the ENI Liverpool Bay Project, focusing on decommissioning and carbon capture and storage. Working within a diverse team, this position is key to driving project success by overseeing subcontractor performance, managing contracts, and ensuring adherence to industry standards throughout the engineering and development phases.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Subcontract Engineers/Administrators team
- Ensure compliance with Subcontract Administration procedures among Subcontractors
- Initiate and respond to correspondence with Subcontractors as necessary
- Monitor and assess Subcontractor performance
- Review and validate progress payments submitted by Subcontractors
- Support project management in identifying variations and claims impacting project forecasts
- Analyze technical queries and lead negotiations with Subcontractors regarding cost impacts
- Facilitate change management and maintain ongoing forecasts of Subcontract performance
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Experience in offshore facilities, industrial plants, or complex construction projects in the Oil & Gas sector
- Knowledge of contract management activities is beneficial
- Must reside in the UK and hold full, permanent right-to-work status
