Overview
We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to support a crucial government programme during its Discovery and Alpha phases. This role involves collaborating with senior stakeholders to extract business-critical insights from complex datasets, ensuring that data-driven decisions lead to actionable outcomes. The successful candidate will engage with various teams, develop key performance indicators, and provide data recommendations that meet government standards.
Responsibilities
- Drive Discovery efforts by mapping existing data landscapes and evaluating data quality.
- Facilitate workshops to engage stakeholders and translate complex data concepts into clear narratives.
- Establish key performance indicators and benchmarks to measure success entering the Beta phase.
- Model data scenarios to validate hypotheses and provide evidence-backed insights for user research and policy teams.
- Deliver data recommendations and artefacts aligned with GDS (Government Digital Service) Service Standards.
Requirements
- Basic BPSS security clearance is required.
- Proven experience in Discovery and Alpha phases within government environments.
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Strong ability in data visualisation and storytelling using dashboards and structured frameworks.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or R/Python for data analysis.
