Overview
The E&I TAR Engineer will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of Turnaround (TAR) projects within a leading chemical manufacturing environment. Working collaboratively with the core TAR team, the successful candidate will leverage their extensive experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering to ensure safe and efficient project delivery, contributing to long-term operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Turnaround (TAR) projects effectively.
- Collaborate with the TAR team to develop project scopes and schedules.
- Implement and monitor engineering designs for electrical and instrumentation installations.
- Ensure compliance with European legal and HSE requirements during projects.
- Oversee Safety Instrumented Systems and complex FSC systems management.
- Facilitate the development of major I/C/E activities within TAR schedules.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing I/C/E practices.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout project phases.
Requirements
- Degree in instrument or electrical engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the petrochemical industry.
- Proven experience in planning and delivering TAR projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of I/C/E working practices and procedures.
- Certification as a CompEx 12 engineer.
- Certified Functional Safety Engineer (BS EN 61511).
- Expertise in Safety Instrumented Systems and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
- Strong understanding of legal and HSE frameworks related to chemical plant operations.
