Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer or Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a contract role focused on advanced motion simulation technology. The contractor will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality electrical design documentation while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in electrical design who are looking to contribute to technically complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage electrical design documentation and engineering deliverables.
- Produce detailed engineering drawings including CDFs, GA drawings, and sub-module schematics.
- Create cable schedules and 3D digital twins of electrical control panels using EPLAN.
- Manage relevant Bills of Materials (BoMs) within Arena PLM.
- Generate build and test instructions in Polarion.
- Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with technical requirements.
- Support the review and refinement of electrical designs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with integration, build, and commissioning activities as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer or Senior Electrical Design Engineer.
- Strong experience in producing electrical engineering drawings and documentation.
- Practical experience with EPLAN Electrical CAD.
- Experience creating electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and harness drawings.
- Familiarity with Bills of Materials management.
- Understanding of electrical control panel design and systems.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical engineering standards (e.g., EN60204, ISO12100, EMC).
- Strong attention to detail with an organized approach to documentation management.
