Overview
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Delivery Lead to oversee the successful execution of complex engineering programs. The contractor will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities, manage work packages, and ensure program delivery aligns with established plans and schedules. This role requires strong leadership skills and accountability to drive timely resolution of actions while providing clear visibility of program progress to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and track engineering work packages, schedules, dependencies, and completion criteria.
- Coordinate activities across systems, software, hardware, mechanical, RF, and verification teams.
- Monitor program progress, identify delivery risks and blockers, and drive resolution or escalation as needed.
- Support engineering change control, verification readiness, and program review activities.
- Maintain accurate delivery metrics, actions, assumptions, and risk registers.
- Ensure appropriate evidence and documentation are available for project reviews and milestones.
- Facilitate regular engineering delivery reviews and follow up on agreed actions.
- Produce regular status reports highlighting progress, risks, dependencies, and recovery actions.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading delivery across complex, multidisciplinary engineering or product development programs.
- Demonstrable experience coordinating engineering work packages across multiple technical disciplines.
- Strong planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience tracking and reporting engineering progress, dependencies, and delivery risks.
- Practical experience using Jira for program or delivery management.
- Ability to challenge constructively, drive accountability, and deliver results in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong organizational skills and sufficient technical understanding to coordinate complex engineering activities effectively.
- Background in systems engineering, product development, or engineering project leadership is desirable.
