Overview
The Senior Solutions Architect will provide architectural leadership for a major Bus Franchising and Transport Transformation Programme in Northern England. In this role, the architect will work closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of multiple systems, suppliers, and business functions, supporting the future of the franchised bus network. This position will focus on various project areas including customer services, ticketing, network operations, compliance, and business support.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and integration of a complex technology ecosystem.
- Define and document solution architectures for the project.
- Support procurement and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Oversee technical governance to ensure compliance with standards.
- Ensure cyber security measures and data compliance are maintained.
- Facilitate operational readiness and transition of services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance system performance.
- Monitor and report on project progress and architecture compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Solutions Architect in complex, multi-system technology programmes.
- Strong skills in integration and architectural governance.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships and supplier management.
- Knowledge of cyber security and data compliance best practices.
- Public sector or transportation industry experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to lead technical teams and oversee system design processes.
- Familiarity with customer services and ticketing solutions in transport is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
