Overview
We are looking for a skilled React Native Developer to join our team on a contract basis for an initial period of three months, with potential for extension based on project needs. The successful candidate will focus on developing and maintaining mobile applications for both iOS and Android, ensuring high performance and delivery of seamless mobile experiences while working fully remote. This role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define app features and functionalities based on client requirements.
- Implement offline-first capabilities and ensure apps function seamlessly in limited or unstable network environments.
- Integrate on-device databases and storage solutions to manage local data efficiently.
- Design and implement robust request queuing, retry logic, and background synchronization mechanisms.
- Manage data synchronization processes, including conflict resolution and data consistency strategies.
- Utilize state management and data-fetching tools to optimize app performance and user experience.
- Publish and maintain apps on the App Store and Google Play, including handling updates and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mobile application development using React Native.
- Hands-on experience with Expo for building and deploying applications.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, including defining data models, API contracts, and managing application state.
- Experience developing offline-first or offline-capable mobile applications, understanding associated challenges.
- Experience with on-device databases like expo-sqlite, WatermelonDB, Realm, or MMKV.
- Knowledge of implementing request queuing, retry mechanics, and background sync processes.
- Familiarity with data fetching/state management tools like TanStack Query, Redux Toolkit, or Zustand.
- Experience publishing applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
