Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team on a contract basis, where you will play a key role in developing a note-taking and summarisation tool for local government use. In this position, you will collaborate with team members in a dynamic environment, providing mentorship to junior developers and working alongside the tech lead to enhance the project. Your expertise in full-stack development will contribute to infrastructure improvements and user-centric product features.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge with the tech lead.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Assess and implement technical improvements based on evaluations.
- Enhance the product's infrastructure to support scalability and performance.
- Focus on user-centered design (UCD) principles for new features.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a full stack developer with strong skills in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring junior developers.
- Familiarity with Node.js and full-stack development best practices.
- Experience with AWS and Terraform is advantageous.
- Prior involvement in UK government projects is a plus.
- Knowledge of LLM/AI technologies and Next.js is considered beneficial but not mandatory.
