Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to join our cloud-focused engineering team for a 6-month contract. This fully remote position will involve building, automating, and enhancing our core cloud platform, with an emphasis on Infrastructure as Code, automation, security, scalability, and reliability. The ideal candidate will enjoy working on cloud infrastructure and improving engineering processes to deliver secure and resilient platforms.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain core cloud infrastructure across networking, security, and governance.
- Automate cloud provisioning and deployment using Terraform, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules, templates, and automation scripts.
- Improve platform scalability, reliability, maintainability, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and infrastructure issues.
- Support incident resolution and operational stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance standards and practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native technologies.
- Solid hands-on experience with Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficient in scripting or programming, ideally with Python.
- Good understanding of cloud networking, security, and governance.
- Experience in building scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
