Overview
As a Platform Engineer, you will focus on designing and implementing scalable and resilient cloud solutions using AWS and associated technologies. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for automating infrastructure management processes and ensuring robust security controls. This is a contract position that requires immediate starters with a strong background in DevOps methodologies and programming.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain core cloud platform components, including networking, security, and governance controls.
- Automate the provisioning, configuration, and deployment of cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and maintain reusable IaC templates, scripts, and modules for efficient delivery.
- Monitor platform performance, availability, and security, resolving issues promptly.
- Provide incident resolution and operational support alongside cloud security, development, and operations teams.
- Continuously improve the platform's scalability, cost-efficiency, and maintainability with latest cloud capabilities.
- Support new team members and enhance cloud engineering practices.
Requirements
- Proficient in AWS cloud services and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong programming and scripting skills, particularly in Python and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex platform issues.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
