Overview
We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer for an initial 6-month contract focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining critical cloud infrastructure and platform services. This fully remote role involves collaboration with DevOps, Security, and Operations teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure cloud solutions, with an emphasis on automation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain core cloud platform components, including networking, security, and governance.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD methodologies.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules, IaC templates, and automation scripts.
- Monitor platform performance, availability, and security.
- Troubleshoot incidents and implement remediation quickly.
- Collaborate with Cloud Security, Development, and Operations teams.
- Continuously improve scalability, cost-efficiency, and maintainability.
- Support colleagues and contribute to enhancing cloud engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience with cloud services and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable, resilient cloud solutions.
- Strong programming/scripting skills, particularly in Python.
- Proficient in Terraform and hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies.
- Good knowledge of cloud security principles and security controls.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
