Overview
We are seeking a Java Tech Lead to join a dynamic software consultancy that is experiencing significant growth in the iGaming industry. In this role, you will lead a product-based team, responsible for driving delivery and providing technical direction while navigating stakeholder interactions and the challenges of a fast-paced environment. You'll be part of a forward-thinking team that embraces a 'you build it, you run it' philosophy, taking ownership of systems from design to deployment and production support.
Responsibilities
- Lead a product team to drive delivery and technical direction.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage project requirements and expectations.
- Oversee the development and deployment of software solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
- Implement and promote best practices in TDD, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Ensure observability and reliability of systems in production.
- Foster a culture of ownership within the team regarding system performance and stability.
Requirements
- Significant experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
- Proficiency in creating REST APIs and event-driven systems using Kafka.
- Experience with AWS services, including S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, and MSK.
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Previous experience in the iGaming or betting industries is essential.
- Ability to thrive in a remote-first, fast-paced working environment.
