Overview
The role of Full Stack Java Developer involves joining a rapidly growing telematics technology company to contribute to innovative, cloud-based solutions. The contractor will collaborate with an engineering team utilizing a modern tech stack, focusing on scalable, event-driven applications while leveraging AI-assisted development tools. This position is fully remote and offers a strong chance of contract extension beyond the initial six months.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable applications using Java and Micronaut.
- Integrate data streaming capabilities with Kafka.
- Design and implement user interfaces with Angular.
- Manage AWS resources and services for deployment and maintenance.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code in the coding process.
- Collaborate with team members to adopt modern engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Java.
- Proficiency in Micronaut or strong experience with Spring Boot.
- Experience in data streaming, ideally with Kafka.
- Solid hands-on experience with Angular.
- Familiarity with AWS services and deployment practices.
- Proven use of AI-assisted coding tools, particularly Claude Code.
- Understanding of Terraform and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like Cucumber is a plus.
