Overview
We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a dynamic software business for an initial six-month contract. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the CTO and a small engineering team to develop a new clinical-records product and enhance an existing clinical transcription platform. The position emphasizes full ownership of features, from requirement gathering to production deployment, within a hybrid working environment.
Responsibilities
- Build features across React interfaces, TypeScript backend services and database layers.
- Write and review SQL, data models, schemas, and migrations for clinical and case data.
- Create unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy and support services on Google Cloud and in Docker-based on-premise environments.
- Handle confidential data properly, ensuring compliance with access controls and data residency.
- Participate in code reviews and keep technical documentation current.
Requirements
- Commercial experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Strong SQL and relational data modeling skills, ideally with PostgreSQL.
- Experience with automated testing, Git, and code review.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and familiarity with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Understanding of UK GDPR and secure handling of confidential data.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work independently while receiving team support.
