Overview
The IT Project Manager will oversee complex data centre projects within a hybrid working model, requiring occasional visits to Leatherhead. This role is focused on managing detailed project plans and ensuring critical paths across multiple projects are adhered to while engaging with various stakeholders and third-party vendors to facilitate successful project outcomes. The contract duration is 12 months and is outside of IR35, pending assessment.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage detailed project plans, ensuring integrity of critical paths for multiple projects.
- Facilitate internal standups, sprint ceremonies, and checkpoints to maintain project direction.
- Ensure all products are managed according to configuration and change management processes.
- Lead the update and management of RAID logs, ensuring critical issues are captured and reported.
- Coordinate with suppliers to align mobilization plans and meet mutual delivery milestones.
- Assist in quality gateway management and prepare assessments for governance meetings.
- Support the Programme Director in planning and reporting as required.
- Oversee the Project Coordinator's activities in support of project management tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing large, complex project plans over 12 months or more.
- Familiarity with both waterfall and agile project delivery methodologies.
- Experience leading standups and managing delivery teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical knowledge of project management tools such as Smartsheet or MS Project.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel, including macros and pivot tables.
- Strong understanding of software integration and hosting technologies, particularly Azure.
- Recognized PM qualification (PRINCE2, APM, PMI) is essential.
- Desirable qualifications include a degree in a technical subject and SCRUM Master certification.
