Overview
The Exit Project Manager will lead a critical exit program requiring active SC clearance, managing all aspects of the project from governance and planning to oversight of stakeholder relationships. This role involves coordinating service transfers, developing transition strategies, and ensuring compliance with exit obligations, while collaborating with various teams and suppliers throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end exit programme, establishing governance and reporting structures.
- Develop and manage the transition strategy and service transfer plans.
- Coordinate knowledge transfer and operational handover between teams.
- Manage stakeholder and supplier relationships, presenting updates to governance groups.
- Oversee service acceptance and contractual closure, ensuring all deliverables are met.
- Implement RAID management and risk/dependency management practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Exit Manager, Transition Manager, Programme Manager or Project Manager in a large-scale services environment.
- Demonstrable experience delivering complex service exits and transitions worth over £10m.
- Strong background in programme governance, integrated planning, and executive reporting.
- Experience managing multiple suppliers and stakeholders across transition programmes.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in managing contractual obligations and exit documentation.
- Active SC clearance is required.
