Overview
The Senior Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing quality assurance processes within a leading tech consultancy. This contract position will focus on building automation scripts with Python and engage with diverse projects across various environments. The engineer will collaborate with teams, mentor junior members, and apply Agile methodologies to foster a culture of quality engineering.
Responsibilities
- Develop automation scripts using Python and Pytest.
- Deploy, test, and troubleshoot applications within Kubernetes environments.
- Work with SQL to validate data integrity and uncover insights.
- Implement BDD testing frameworks, particularly with Cucumber/Gherkin.
- Ensure pipeline integration within CI/CD frameworks.
- Collaborate effectively within Agile teams and foster communication among team members.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers to enhance team capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Python and automation scripting.
- Strong knowledge of deploying and troubleshooting applications in Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and insights.
- Experience with BDD testing frameworks such as Cucumber/Gherkin.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Experience in cloud environments, particularly AWS and Azure.
